HAI invests into a new chip processing system at the Casting Ranshofen

Hammerer Aluminium Industries invested in a new chip processing system at the Ranshofen location. The chip processing system from ARP has been in operation since spring 2023 and optimizes the process at Casting Ranshofen. The investment has not only improved the efficiency and safety of the process, but it is also an important contribution to sustainable development at the HAI site in Ranshofen.

Ranshofen (August 2024) – The aluminum expert Hammerer Aluminium Industries (HAI) has not only optimized the efficiency and safety of the process at Casting Ranshofen but is also making an important contribution to sustainable process optimization with this plant.

Process optimization with the new system

The investment in the chip processing plant is an important development step for HAI. With a capacity of 500 kg of chips per hour and the ability to separate around 300 to 400 litres of emulsion per day, this system makes and important contribution to sustainable process optimization at the Ranshofen location.

The system is operated in the outdoor area of Casting Ranshofen and has significantly improved the workflow, as the shovel loader no longer has to drive with the chips into the hall. This has increased the safety of our employees and the cleanliness of the indoor area.

For the realization and planning of the chip processing system, HAI relied on the plant specialist ARP from Alpirsbach, Germany. The system enables the separation of chips from emulsions, which improves the further processing of the chips and allows the emulsions to be reused in HAI Processing.

The many advantages of the chip processing system

Sustainable progress and developments drive HAI. This plant is another testament to this. Not only can the working conditions and safety of our employees be improved, but ecological and economic benefits are generated as well. On the one hand, the filtered emulsions reduce the costs of disposal and new purchases, while on the other hand, fewer resources are consumed, and waste is reduced. In addition, the processing of the chips becomes more efficient, as it leads to better utilization of the raw material and a reduction in waste.
