HAI Group plans majority stake in ASP

Ranshofen (15.05.2020) – In order to further pursue the strategic development of the HAI Group, a majority stake in the stretch-bending and contract processing specialist ASP is planned. The two companies have already been working closely together for years.

Deepening existing cooperation

The family-owned company ASP with its headquarters in Attendorn, Germany, has been a proven subcontractor and supplier of stretch-bending equipment for HAI for many years.

At ASP’s site in Glogow, Poland, approximately 250 employees manufacture aluminium components with a sales volume of approx. EUR 12 million per year for the automotive and rehabilitation industries. The two German sites in Attendorn and Olpe (North Rhine-Westphalia) employ around 20 people and generate annual sales of around EUR 5 million.

The stake will deepen and secure the existing cooperation in the long term. With the expanded machining capabilities in Poland, HAI will in future be able to offer its customers services that could not previously be economically provided by the company. In addition, HAI benefits from ASP’s stretch-bending expertise and can offer its customers an even broader range of services.

This means that the European aluminium expert HAI, headquartered in Ranshofen, Upper Austria, is still on course for growth. With its three divisions of Automotive, Industry and Construction, Hammerer Aluminium Industries is already well positioned. As a matter of precaution, the German Federal Cartel Office was notified of the transaction.
